Academic Fee

Academic Fee is a charge levied by educational institutions to cover the costs associated with providing education and related services. This fee typically includes tuition fees, hostel fees, and transport fees. Tuition fees cover the cost of instruction and academic resources, hostel fees cover accommodation provided by the institution, and transport fees cover transportation services for students.

The Academic Fee section allows you to pay various fees related to their education. Specifically, it includes:

  • Tuition Fee: The cost of the academic instruction provided by the institution.

  • Hostel Fee: The cost of accommodation provided by the institution for students who live on campus.

  • Transport Fee: The cost of transportation services provided by the institution for students.

Fetching Data

To begin, search for academic fee details by:

  • Hall Ticket Number:
  1. Enter the student's hall ticket number in this field.

  2. Click the search button to retrieve the academic fee details associated with that hall ticket number.

  • Admission Number:
  1. Enter the student's admission number in this field.

  2. Click the search button to retrieve the academic fee details associated with that admission number.

  • Name:
  1. Enter the student's name in the respective input field.

  2. Click the search button to retrieve the academic fee details associated with that name.

Choosing to apply more than one filter will give you precise results.

A comprehensive overview of the student's fee payment status and personal details is displayed. Year-wise view of all the fees associated with the student's current academic year such as tuition and transport fee, the total amount, the payable amount, and the amount already paid is shown.

Add/Edit Fee

You may edit or delete existing fees and add new ones from a dropdown list of additional fee types, for the selected student. Click Add/Edit Fee button [See above screenshot].

Concessions

Click Concessions [see above screenshot] to select the type of concession, enter the amount and reason, and save the details. The goal is to facilitate adjustments in the student’s fee structure based on specific concessions granted.

Collect Fee

Collect Fee enables you to manage the fee collection process by entering the amount being paid and verifying the details of each fee type, for the selected year.

  • Collectable: This shows the total amount that is collectable based on the fees due.

  • Marked Fee: This displays the amount of fees marked for collection.

It involves three steps:

  1. Fee Marking: Viewing and updating amount.
  2. Payment Details: Details of the payments made.
  3. Review Payment: Review all details thoroughly before committing, to ensure no errors.

Expand/Collapse Student Payment History

Expand

Clicking '+ Expand' will show the detailed history of all payments made by the student, including: Paid Date, Receipt No., Paid By, Paid Amount, Payment Mode, Received By, and Reference Number/Remarks.

You may perform the following actions:

  • Take one or two printouts for record-keeping.
  • Edit information such as the paid amount, payment mode, reference number/remarks, or any other relevant details.
  • Delete an entry; give reason for ensuring that the deletion is justified; reasons might include errors in the transactions, duplicate entries, or any administrative reasons.

This will help in reviewing and verifying previous payments and transactions. If there are records, they will be displayed here.
