Data Import
Data Import refers to the process of transferring data from different sources into a centralized system. The goal of data import is to ensure that the imported data is correctly formatted, validated, and integrated into the destination system for efficient use and management. Import is often used for pulling in huge amount of data, where it is practically impossible to bring in records one by one. Besides viewing on the screen, the output is generally seen in the form of generated reports.

Data Export
Data Export refers to the process of extracting data from one system and transferring it to another system or file format for various purposes, such as reporting, analysis, or backup. This process allows users to take data from their internal systems and use it in external applications, share it with other stakeholders, or store it for future reference.
Data exports are commonly used to extract student records, exam results, financial information, and other administrative data. The exported data can be in various formats such as CSV, Excel, PDF, or XML.
Key benefits of data exports include:
-
Data Sharing: Facilitates the sharing of information with other departments, organizations, or stakeholders.
-
Data Analysis: Enables detailed analysis of the data using external tools or applications.
-
Data Backup: Provides a way to back up important data for security and recovery purposes.
-
Compliance: Helps in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements by providing data in standardized formats.
