Mentorship - Mentees

From a mentee's perspective, Mentorship is a supportive relationship in which they receive guidance, encouragement, and advice from a more experienced individual, known as a mentor. This relationship is designed to help mentees navigate their academic, personal, and professional journeys, providing them with valuable insights, resources, and feedback.

Importance

For mentees, mentorship offers:

  • Personal Growth: Mentees gain confidence, develop new skills, and better understand their strengths and weaknesses.

  • Academic Support: Mentors can help mentees with study strategies, subject-specific knowledge, and navigating academic challenges.

  • Career Guidance: Mentees receive advice on career planning, networking, and professional development.

  • Emotional Support: Mentors can provide a listening ear, encouragement, and help mentees build resilience and coping strategies.

  • Networking Opportunities: Mentees can expand their professional network through their mentor's connections.

Ultimately, mentorship from a mentee's perspective is about growth, learning, and building a supportive relationship that helps them achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

Clicking on View icon for the selected mentee will give you comprehensive information about the specific session, insights into the mentee's performance across various categories such as academics and extra-curricular activities, and generate mentee report as well as add in new sessions for that mentee.

Report

Mentor Report generates a comprehensive report on mentees. However, it's important to note that there must be at least one session recorded for the mentee in order to generate this report. If there are no sessions recorded, the report will not be generated.

tip

Ensure at least one mentoring session is recorded for the mentee. Without a session, the system cannot generate a report.

The My Mentees submodule is for that particular faculty member. The Mentors submodule is accessible to the Head of Department (HoD) only. This ensures that faculty members have access to information relevant to their specific mentoring responsibilities, while the HoD can oversee and manage the broader mentorship program.

This information helps the mentor keep track of the mentees' progress and manage mentoring sessions effectively.
