Suspending/Cancelling a Class

Overview

Learn how faculty, HODs, and admins can suspend classes in CampX using the mobile app or web portal. Suspended classes will not reflect in reports and prevent attendance. Faculty can suspend individual classes, while HODs and admins can handle bulk suspensions for multiple classrooms or entire batches.

Prerequisites
  • Ensure that sessions are generated for all planned classes.

Suspending a Class via Web

Information
  • Faculty can suspend sessions from the Course Learning Management page.
  • Suspended sessions prevent both attendance from being recorded.

Steps for suspending a class via the web

  1. Navigate to Course Learning Management and open the Attendance tab.
  2. Locate the class under Planned Sessions.
  3. Click Manage Class in the actions column and select Suspend Class.
  4. Confirm suspension. Notifications will be sent to students.

Suspending a Class via Mobile

Information
  • Faculty can suspend classes from their daily schedule view in the mobile app.
  • If a class has multiple consecutive periods, faculty can select the periods to suspend.

Steps for suspending a class via mobile

  1. Open the CampX Mobile App, navigate to the Learning Tab, and click View Schedule.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu next to the class and select Suspend Class.
  3. If there are multiple periods, select the desired period(s).
  4. Confirm suspension. Notifications will be sent to students.

Bulk Suspension by HOD

Information
  • HODs can manage bulk class suspensions through Generated Sessions in the Timetable.

Steps for bulk suspension by HOD

  1. Navigate to Classrooms and apply required filters to get classrooms.
  2. Go to the Timetable in a classroom and click on View Sessions in the Timetable page.
  3. Locate the required date, click Manage Class, and suspend sessions as needed.

Batch Suspension by Admin

Information
  • Admins can suspend all classes for a batch by marking a holiday in the Academic Calendar.

Steps for batch suspension

  1. Navigate to the Academic Calendar and mark the date as a holiday.
  2. Visit each classroom under My Classrooms and regenerate sessions to reflect the holiday suspension.
