Overview
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is an essential security feature designed to provide enhanced protection for accessing the digital campus ecosystem. This process requires users to complete two authentication steps for secure portal access.

• First-time users: MFA setup will be guided during your first login after MFA is introduced.
• Existing MFA users: Ensure you have an authenticator app installed and properly configured with your account for MFA verification.
MFA Setup (First-Time Users)
• When MFA is first introduced, users will be prompted to activate MFA during their next login.
• Users can choose to activate MFA immediately or skip for next time.
• Multiple authenticator apps are supported and can be downloaded directly from the setup modal.
Steps to Set Up MFA
- Enter your institution's login portal with your Username or E-mail and Password.
- Click Login to proceed.
- You will see the MFA Setup Modal with two options:
- Activate MFA: Choose this to set up MFA immediately
- Skip for Next Time: Postpone MFA setup to a later login
- If you choose Activate MFA, you'll see recommended authenticator apps:
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Google Authenticator
- Authy
- Other compatible apps
- Download and install your preferred authenticator app from the app store links provided.
- Click Continue to proceed to the next step.
- A QR code will be displayed on your screen.
- Open your authenticator app and choose to add a new account.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app camera, or manually enter the setup code if scanning is not available.
- Once added, your authenticator app will generate a 6-digit verification code.
- Enter the verification code in the input boxes to complete MFA activation.
- Click Verify to finish the setup process.
MFA Login Process
• Users must complete two authentication steps: username/password followed by authenticator app verification.
• MFA verification codes refresh every 30 seconds.
• Supports standard authenticator apps including Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, and Authy.
Steps to Complete MFA Login:
- Enter your institution's login portal.
- Enter your Username or E-mail and Password.
- Click Login to proceed to MFA verification.
- Open your authenticator app and locate your institution's entry.
- Enter the 6-digit verification code in the input boxes.
- Click Verify to complete authentication.
Account Recovery
• If you lose access to your authenticator app, use the recovery options.
• Recovery methods use your pre-registered contact information.
Steps for Account Recovery:
- On the MFA verification screen, click "Lost access to your authenticator app?".
- Select your preferred recovery method (Email or SMS).
- Click Send Recovery Code.
- Enter the recovery code received via your selected method.
- Complete authentication to access your account.
Common Issues & Solutions

• Set up MFA immediately when prompted to ensure account security.
• Keep authenticator app backed up to avoid losing access.
• Save setup codes in a secure location as backup.
• Update recovery contact information regularly.
• Report suspicious login attempts to IT support.
